Inspired by Sandra, this was taken in the bathroom. It does have the best light conditions in the house.

I’ve been luring the LES Splinters to knit at my place since early December. It’s great for me. I don’t have to leave the house and I have a very good reason to clean up. It’s beautiful. And they get homemade cake. Or cookies (though last time Cassie made them, but chez-moi). Or something.

Saturday we turned out to be the Ladies of the Variegated Table. It wasn’t planned that way, but when we all pulled out our knitting we had Helen’s Lace (a Clapotis), Two Pointy Sticks (a Clapotis), Brooks Farms (a sweater) and Diakeito (yours truly) variegation going on. And three, count them, three Clapotis in various stages of progress. Above is mine as of tonight.

What happened to the boredom? Eh. I tried to cheat. And I do have a new love, I’ve played with her one whole day already, but then I just couldn’t bear the thought of Clapotis just sitting there in a heap. Unfinished. So I stopped playing with the new lacy something and went back to Clappy. I’m a one projcet woman. And don’t tell Clappy that may also be due to the fact that she is a better choice when knitting in company. I mean, look at this. Who can knit this while chatting away? If you can, I don’t want to know about it.

Pattern # 43 from the Spring 2005 Verena. I think this comes in German only. This issue is a gem. There are four must knits for me. There are also, naturally, the usual duds that only Verena can come up with. But this time around, they’re not quite as duddy as usual. I’ll be using a cotton/viscose blend I got in Croatia last September, part of my binge buy after my suitcase made off with somebody else. (all my WIPs and ALL my needles were in that suitcase)
