Back to the knitting or Any excuse will do to post pictures of socks

Sweet Cassie stole my post a while back. I was never going to make flap heels, just cause I deemed them so ugly. Whell. I caved first. She laughed at me and repeated “NEVER”. Whell. But then she crumbled. And then she stole the eating-crow-post from me! However, she wrote it so well, I cannot be mad. What I’ve got going for me here, is that my pictures are better. Behold an Orangina sock, so called, because it reminds me of … Orangina. Behold my first ever flap heel. And I like it! The pattern is Go With The Flow socks from IK Summer 2005. The yarn is Lang JaWoll Color.

On to the sock pics. They’re both done, and have already been out on the town, but taking pictures of my own feet with the perfect shoes on, is kinda difficult. So you have a socks-with-shoes picture coming. Now look at me. Here’s another “never”. I used to roll my eyes at all those blogs that had endless pictures of socks. And now look at me!

Those are some darn pretty socks, they are. Do they feel better after wearing them?

Too cool! Interweave mags are a bit short on the ground down here, but I’ve conned a friend into lending me hers so I can have a shot at this pattern. They look fabulous and sound like a fun knit (I’m not scared of the flap heel myself. I’m actually a short row heel virgin so I really don’t know any better!)

Yup, they look like nice comfortable socks!

Sigh…the problem comes from me always taking pictures inside at night. Not pretty! Plus my Photoshop has been kaput for 5 months now. Okay, fine, your pictures are much better :)! And the socks are pretty darn nice too. Although I thought you were knitting all these socks for that statue?

Thanks for the nice comment on my blog! I am so thrilled to get comments!!

I get my handbags all kinds of places: eBay, friends and little vintage shops (my favorite!)… I love your new acquisitions! That little box bag is fabulous! I also loved the tights from several posts back and would love to get some of those too. Very fancy.

Maybe I’ll run into you some day in a NYC yarn shop! My favorite hangouts are Purl and Knitting Hands in Brooklyn.

You win. I’m only up to the heel flap of the second sock. In all fairness, though, it’s because I’ve got this baby-blanket shaped albatross around my neck. I declare another sock showdown on the next pair!
